Graphic music score

Assessment Art-Initiation, evaluated by Sofie Deneulien

During the final Art Initiation classes of the school year, guest teacher Sofie Deneulien gave a series of music lessons. She provided a wide range of exercises for children and teenagers, focusing on the seven musical building blocks: melody, rhythm, dynamics, tempo, timbre, form, and harmony.

At the end of this lesson series, we were tasked with translating a piece of music into a graphic score. This score uses shapes and symbols, along with a legend that explains their meanings, allowing one to read both movement and sound on the music score! Underneath, you can see the final result of the score. Here you can listen to the music and singing. If you scroll further, you can find the example of the movements following that same music score.
