Walk of Life
Micro-teaching PO with fellow students of my grade
For the micro-teaching session in the subject Visual Arts (PO), I worked around the theme of collage and a life path. Together, we created the life journey of an imaginary person. Each student selected an unfamiliar historical figure from a stack of cards and then enriched his or her past with meaningful cut-outs that could illustrate the story behind this character. These cut-outs were arranged alongside the “path” of their life, placed in a visually correct perspective. In this way, we shaped the life journey of a fictional figure. At the end, students wrote a short narrative describing this life path and presented it briefly to their classmates.
I personally enjoyed designing and carrying out this assignment, although the preparation was quite intensive. I had pre-selected and carefully cut out all the clippings, as the previous micro-teaching session during my PKV class was very time-limited. In the end, it was absolutely worth the effort, as I received very positive feedback from my teacher that you’re able to read down below.
“You stand in front of the class with confidence and ease. You ensure that you have the full attention of the class when speaking. You create a positive classroom atmosphere and maintain a clear lesson structure with a logical flow.”
