Art Gallery scavenger hunt
Micro-teaching PKV with fellow students of my grade
The assignment I originally created around Kolb’s theme of ‘doing’ was later carried out during the micro-teaching session for the PKV course. In this 20-minute session, we were asked to deliver a complete lesson idea, in short form. We had to act as teachers in front of a class of fellow students of our grade and were evaluated by our teacher and our peers as if it were an actual teaching internship.
For this session, I designed a photo scavenger hunt as part of an introductory lesson on different art movements. You can read the full lesson plan in this document. The accompanying timeline, workbook, handouts, and printed materials provide helpful context for understanding the entire concept. Feel free to use this class as an inspiration for your own introductory lesson! It offers an active and playful way to explore the characteristics and visual elements of realism, expressionism, dadaism, and romanticism. Of course, you can adapt the content or integrate parts of this concept into your own teaching practice.
